We will work 1:1 to develop your child's English skills with the help of C.C. ESL Curriculum, a fun and engaging way to learn English! This class will meet once a week (more if requested). Students will work on developing speaking, reading and listening skills in English. We will learn new vocabulary terms as well as sentence frames. Students will work with phonetic pronunciations and reading. Students will develop skills related to Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Classes will be individualized to accommodate student needs. Classes will include props, realia and TPR (total physical response). Classes will include visual representation for students to interactive with. ***I am proud to announce that this course will now join forces with C.C. ESL Curriculum! The ESL Curriculum is focused on 8 Levels, 12 units per level. The first few units are listed for your reference below. Level 1: Introductory, Phonics, Sounds Level 2 Curriculum Unit 1: All About Me Unit 2: School Unit 3: Colors Unit 4: Family Unit 5: Friends Unit 6: Food Level 3 Curriculum Unit 1: Days and Months Unit 2: Clothing Unit 3: Body Unit 4: Senses Unit 5: Celebrations Unit 6: Animals Level 4 Curriculum Unit 1: Earth Unit 2: Travel Unit 3: Hobbies Unit 4: Carrers Unit 5: Town & City Unit 6: Culture Level 5 Curriculum Unit 1: Family Unit 2: Friends Unit 3: Strangers Unit 4: Healthy Living Unit 5: Helping Unit 6: Inventions You may choose which level you would like your child to work on. New ESL learners are encouraged to begin at the beginning. I will contact you prior to class to discuss your child's individual needs and educational background. We will discuss the level/unit in which your child will begin, prior to the first class. First Class Objectives: On Day 1 (first class), we will go through a trial class. This may be easier or more challenging for your child. This class if for me to evaluate your child and see their strengths in English. After class, we will discuss the areas your child excels in as well as the areas for improvement. From here, we will develop the curriculum based on your child's needs. We will be able to blend the curriculum to determine what best suits your child. This first class is a brief evaluation to understand your child and get to know him/her on a deeper level. Thank you! I am an ESL Teacher and work 1:1 with students each day to develop their English Language Skills. I have a TESOL certification and a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I use TPR to guide students in instructional and academic directions. I have worked closely with students aged 4-10 to develop their academic skills. I believe my energy and excitement for learning encourages a love of learning in each of my students. It is my goal that each student loves to learn English and develops a passion for the language.
