In this English as a second language class learners will meet 4 times a week to practice and develop their English language skills through speaking, listening and reading. The aim of this class is to build your learner's confidence while learning new vocabulary and sentence structures (and having fun)! Presentations will be interactive as students play the activities and games provided! Learners will be introduced to new vocabulary and practice using new words in sentences and conversations. Learners will also practice one phonics sound per week. In each class, learners will have a reading using the new words, sentences and phonics sounds. What might a typical class look like? 🔹 Welcome and introductions - learners will practice introducing themselves to the class and asking and answering "How are you?" 🔹Vocabulary - Learners will be introduced to new vocabulary words, there will also be activities built in to help learners remember and practice the new words. 🔹Grammar - Learners will be taught how to use the new words with the grammar focus of the week 🔹Phonics - Learners will practice segmenting, blending and reading the phonics sounds of the week. 🔹Reading - Learners will have a short reading at the end of the class. The reading will have plenty of pictures to help your learner to fully understand! 🔹GAME TIME - we will practice everything we have learnt with a fun game! The group class is kept small to ensure learners have the time and opportunity to practice their new skills! A group class also allows learners to practice and role-play together!
