This show and tell class will help your mid-level English student to begin using their English skills to share with fellow students about something important to them. During the lesson they will have 3-5 minutes to talk to their fellow students about the item they brought, then they will answer questions from their classmates when they are finished speaking. Sharing in front of the class can be scary, especially when using a second language so this class is to help students begin to feel...
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to address a class in the form of public speaking in order to convey why something is important to them. This means they will have to use appropriate posture, volume and give a clear message to the class. They will increase their vocabulary knowledge by preparing their talking points for their items, and also when listening to classmates talk about their own items they are sharing. Additionally they will learn to use their active listening skills to listen to their peers quietly and respectively. By listening actively they will be able to then ask follow up questions to their peers about the item.
