In this ongoing ESL (English as a Second Language) class, learners will practice English vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation & speaking skills taught by an experienced TESOL and TEFL certified, friendly, and patient teacher. Each class will include a Google slides lesson with informative, interactive activities and games designed to help your child learn English. Learners should already have knowledge of the English alphabet and letter sounds and have begun reading and writing in English. I will use TPR (Total Physical Response- a method of teaching language or vocabulary concepts by using physical movement to react to verbal input) and adjust my speaking speed and lesson content to the learners' needs as I feel necessary. This is a weekly, ongoing class, so you can subscribe each week or pause/skip lessons and come back again (as long as there is a spot for your learner), but learning will be more effective if your child takes multiple classes. If you have concerns about your child's level, you can message me or enroll for the day to try out the class. I welcome feedback about the lesson afterwards so I can continue as is or adjust the lesson where needed. As with many other language classes, the lesson content builds as learning progresses, but the lessons are designed to be taught individually. If you would prefer private lessons for your learner, please message me and we can discuss it. Or if a group session on a different time or day works better for you, please let me know. I am currently offering one beginner, CEFR Levels A1-2 session: Thursdays at 7:20AM ET. I could open a new session if a different day or time works better for you as long as we have at least two enrolled learners. Each class will focus on English pronunciation, sentence building, conversation, writing and vocabulary through the use of games, socialization and fun activities.
