ESL: Learn Letters & Sounds With Art & Nature

Repetition is the key! Each week we focus on learning 1 new letter + vocab + speaking + craft activity + songs & games based on 1 letter. This helps kids build their memory, speech, English conversation, listening & comprehension skills.

An art supplies list will be given in advance of each week's activity. **This is not an exhaustive list.** Kids should have the following available for use: 1. moldable material e.g. play dough or a preferred substitute 2. paper 3. child appropriate scissors 4. glue stick 5. 1 basic paints set & paintbrush 6. crayons 7. colored / coloured pencils 8. tape
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
1. Child appropriate scissors will be used to help aid in the development of fine motor skills. If your ESL learner is unable to use scissors then they can simply fold and tear paper as needed.
2. I will share my screen (screen - share) to play free YouTube videos. These videos will be relevant to and enhance ESLteaching. ESL Parents are not required to have a YouTube account as I will only use these videos in a screen-share.
3. Play-doh may contain wheat, which could cause an allergic reaction if ingested in those sensitive to wheat gluten or with Celiac disease. If your ESL child is unable to use Play-doh, any substitute of your choice is recommended.
