In this small one time class we will be learning and reviewing 16 English verbs through a game of bingo. We will use movements, props, and pictures to have the action words come to life!

Hello! In this class we will be learning 16 different verbs in English while using the sentence frame "I can____." This class is intended for learners that know some English and want to start developing it further while using pictures , props, and TPR (Total Physical Response). The class will be conducted in English. Introduction-slides(bingo)- review Each student will be sent two unique bingo cards (will be using one for each game). We will review the different verbs while using movements. If you are comfortable, be ready to show off those moves in class! I will be calling out the different verbs while showing TPR (movement) /Props to students and saying " I can scream/run/eat /listen....." We will play as many times as time allows during the 25 minutes of class. We will celebrate each victory together. (^-^)

Students will improve their English vocabulary by using and learning the verbs in our class.

Supply List
Printed bingo cards (or student can copy and draw them out if you are unable to print) You will also need 16 small items to cover your verbs as you play. You can use game chips, coins, candy, cheerios, small toys, etc
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Why I do this:
I have been enjoying the life of education as a teacher, tutor, and mentor to a variety of learners in different age groups. The best part of being around my students will always be the "Ohhh", "Ahh", and "Aha!" moments as their faces light up when they understand something new or something they didn't think they would. I am very passionate about reaching those goals my students have while celebrating each growth and success on the way. Each of my students have always been unique, academically and personality no matter the age. As time goes by I learn something new. Allowing me to grow as an educator and person.
My Professional Teaching Background:
For the past 6 years my primary role has been as a middle school teacher teaching Reading, ELA, and Math. Working with different students by differentiating and scaffolding instruction and helping them close any learning gaps and/or enhance their knowledge to the next level. I hold different certifications which include:

Special Education (EC-12)
English as a Second Language (ESL)
TESOL
Generalist (4-8).
I have also added the role of an online ESL teacher working for different companies. It has been such a great experience and it always keeps me on my toes!
This is Me:
I love to spend time with my family, go on cruises, touch penguins, collect many toys, learn new things, talk, listen, pretend to know how to sing, and just enjoy the small moments. There are so many things to be grateful about.
