In this 3-week course, students will learn to recognize and pronounce the short vowel sounds 'a,' 'e,' and 'i.' The class will focus on building vocabulary, improving reading comprehension, and developing sentence structure skills. Students will engage in phonics practice and interactive activities to solidify their understanding of these foundational sounds.

⭐ Topics Covered: 

Each week, we will cover a different short vowel sound:

- Week 1: Short 'A' Sound - Words like "pat," "sandcastle," "bucket," and "top." Students will read the story "The Sandcastle" and discuss how characters build and decorate a sandcastle.

- Week 2: Short 'E' Sound - Words like "treasure," "map," "hid," and "found." Students will explore the story "The Box of Treasure," predicting events and discussing the excitement of finding treasure.

- Week 3: Short 'I' Sound - Words like "pan," "pot," "tin," and "din." The focus will be on the story "What a DIN!" where students will learn about sounds and music through creative storytelling.

- Engaging Introduction: Each class begins with a reminder of class rules and an introduction to the day's topic to set a positive and focused tone.

- Phonics Practice: Students will participate in fun and interactive phonics activities to practice the target vowel sound, using chants, listening exercises, and word games.

- Story Reading: A story relevant to the vowel sound will be read aloud, with pauses for predictions, discussions, and questions to encourage comprehension and critical thinking.

- Interactive Activities: Students will engage in creative tasks, such as drawing, role-playing, and sentence-building exercises, to reinforce the vocabulary and concepts learned.
