US Grade Preschool - 10
In this personalized, semester course learners will be introduced to new vocabulary words and sentences related to key words that they will be able to practice through various games/songs (please see below). The goal is to improve social skills, fluency and prepare learners for public speaking and debates. *The time slots offered can be different. Please message me directly to arrange the time that fits your schedule and I will inform you about my availability since some slots might already be taken* IMPORTANT: You are welcome to purchase this course again if you would like to progress to the next level. All classes are personalized and tailored to your child's needs. Detailed feedback report will be provided about what was taught and areas to improve. Parents are welcome to message me about their child's interests so that I could tailor the curriculum to their child's needs. These classes can also be free-talk/conversational classes, learners are welcome to suggest topics** Homework: Digital or printable assignments will be given to students if/when agreed to do so. Teaching technique: - Presentation (language is presented to learners) - Practice (the aim of this stage is accuracy/error correction) - Production (using the language as fluently and naturally as possible) ✓ TPR (Total Physical Response) used throughout the lessons, such as gestures and body language, simple and clear instructions as well as level-appropriate language to keep the learners engaged and focused. ✓ Error Correction and adjustment based on learners' understanding and abilities. ✓ Use of props/flashcards and other teaching aids that enhance the class experience. RULES: -If you have to cancel a class please inform me as soon as possible so that I could reschedule and book a make-up class instead. If you cancel LESS THAN 2 HOURS before the class starts you might not be eligible for a make-up session so please inform me as soon as possible. -If you do not show up for a class and do not inform me at all, it will be regarded as a no-show and you will not be eligible for a refund. - Please make sure to choose the timeslots that will work with your schedule since it might not be possible for me to reschedule a class for another time since many slots are already taken. -Emergencies happen and I understand this and will try to accommodate you in any way I can
Learning Goals
Speaking English accurately and fluently with proper error correction through repetition and games. The goal is to encourage speaking and boost students' confidence so that they can eventually speak independently. TPR, props, error correction are used throughout the lessons.
