When learning English, many of the phrases used can be challenging for ESL learners. In this class we will be learning many of those sayings (idioms) and where they come from. We've all heard the idioms: "You woke up on the wrong side of the bed." "Put a sock in it." "Show your true colors." But most people don't know where the idioms come from. ESL learners will improve their speaking and listening skills by better understanding idioms and learning the history of each one.
I have four years of experience teaching ESL online. My teaching style helps learners gain confidence and feel comfortable speaking English in a safe setting.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be participating in a Canva teacher made slideshow with screen sharing. The slideshow will take place in the zoom classroom.
