We call this class The ‘Fun’ in Fundamental English! In this ongoing class, learners will meet once a week for a thorough ESL Curriculum. This class covers the foundation of the English language and serves up a rudimentary understanding of the English Language, and other dos and don’ts on a platter of fun worksheets and games. Speaking and expression of basic needs or conditions, as well as reciting words and phrases from everyday objects should be the focus for this level to help learners form a good language foundation. Suitable for children who are beginner learners, each week we will be covering the following categories: Reading, speaking, vocabulary and grammar exercises. Perfect for activities for young ESL learners so that learners can easily grasp and retain core principles. This class is sure to keep young learners coming back for more. There will be some fun worksheets, discussion, games and lots of visual prompts throughout this interactive class to engage learners! Hannah Tuck - BIO
Originally from rural Newfoundland, Hannah now resides and teaches in St. John's. She is working on completing a Bachelor of Education (Intermediate/Secondary) from Memorial University in English Language Arts and Theater Arts. Hannah graduated from Mount Allison University in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts (double major in Drama Studies and English). With a broad and varied understanding of English literature (both classical and contemporary), she has taught ELA and Drama in Grades 7 to 12 in various schools in the St. John's area. She enjoys building relationships with her students, and is a firm believer of meeting learners where they are in their educational journey. Her students have consistently enjoyed how patient she is with her classes, as well as her engaging lessons and upbeat personality. In her free time, she enjoys playing Animal Crossing, reading, and watching the latest superhero movies. Eventually, she wants to teach in England and explore as much of Europe as she can. Fun fact: Hannah usually reads between 40 and 50 books a year!
Lisa Chekeres- BIO
Lisa is a passionate result-focused teacher. She has 2 years of experience as a full-time online English tutor and has taught over 5,000 classes for Primary and Middle school learners. She’s known for her positive attitude, patience and the virtual tricks she uses to increase children’s concentration. During the class every student receives support, love and respect. Lisa’s main aim is to make class fun to encourage and motivate young learners, help them become more independent and confident.
Lisa holds a Bachelor Degree in English Philology. She has a TESOL Certificate as well. In her free time she does yoga, practices meditation and travels around the world.
Robynn Allan - BIO
Robynn has over 4 years of English Language Teaching experience and holds a B.A in Childhood and Youth Studies from Carleton University. She is currently pursuing her bachelor of Education at Nipissing University. Robynn has extensive experience working with students from Kindergarten to Grade 7. She loves to see her students succeed and see their growth as they develop their own understanding of education. She strongly believes that as an educator, it is her mission to help each student reach a level of achievement and success both inside and outside of the classroom.

Ms. Raghad Jarjis is an experienced tutor specializing in English and Mathematics. Ms. Jarjis graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, with minors in English and Diaspora. Ms. Jarjis has a passion to help students achieve success, and aims to make her sessions as engaging as possible! Ms. Jarjis has been tutoring students for 8+ years, and looks forward to each of her classes.
