Class Experience
Our learning goals are to: understand and use the 4 elements of design: contrast, repetition, alignment, proximity to understand and use basic color theory to create custom color palettes using Hex or RGB codes to use Smart Art effectively and strategically to use quality images strategically in Canva and PowerPoint Week One: Video One: The Color Wheel and CARP Video Two: PowerPoint Student Work: Answer discussion questions about color and CARP, Create a Powerpoint showing application of the elements of CARP and an understanding of primary, secondary, and tertiary color pairings Week Two: Video One: Google Slides Video Two: Smart Art Student Work: Answer discussion questions about Smart Art, Give classmates feedback on week one's PowerPoint, Create presentation two using Google Slides, include Smart Art as a component of the message and design Week Three: Canva and Images Student Work: Answer discussion questions about Canva, Give feedback to classmates about week two's presentation, Create slides in Canva using the Carousel feature Week Four: Screencast-o-matic and narrating versus presenting, Do's and Don't's of Presenting live and asynchronously Student Work: Answer discussion questions about presenting live and presenting asynchronously, Create a revision of one presentation and record narration for it using Screencast-o-matic.
Create presentations and post them in the course Respond in the Outschool course area to discussion questions each week Give classmates constructive feedback Reply to class polls each week

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
