Description

Class Experience

Students will develop and use a themed vocabulary list each week:

Week One: color, size, and shape
Week Two: rooms in a home and household items
Week Three: people and animals
Week Four: nature and weather

Students will use their listening skills to learn each week's vocabulary list from a video posted on Sunday by Teacher Elle. The video will provide pronunciation and definition for each word. They will use their reading skills to understand the week's scavenger assignment. Students will use speaking skills to describe the object, animal, or person in their scavenger photo. Finally, they will use their listening skills to interpret feedback from Teacher Elle and classmates.

In this course, students will improve their English through input and output throughout the week as speaking and writing are encouraged while also being active thinkers and creative photographers. Interaction with classmates and Teacher Elle is an important part of improving English communication and building a larger vocabulary.

A Kahoot will be posted each week to give students a chance to play a game related to the vocabulary for the week.

Students will earn points for completing each task correctly, for being creative, for encouraging others, for playing the Kahoot game, and for using vocabulary correctly in their videos.
