Welcome to our ESL Conversation Club with Teacher John! Week 1 - Week of January 1, 2024 - Introductions - Hello, Goodbye, How Are You, Are you okay, Basic Language Week 2 - Week of January 8, 2024 - Space Theme 1 - Rockets, Moon, Satellite and Saturn Week 3 - Week of January 15, 2024 - Space Theme 2 - Astronaut, Space Station, Aliens and Northern Lights Week 4 - Week of January 22, 2024 - Geography Theme 1 - Map, Volcano, Waterfall and the Great Wall This class is for beginning English learners who have little to no experience speaking English. We will make sentences such as "I see a green triangle" or "I like to eat red apples". Learners will discuss common greetings in English like "Hello!", "Good Afternoon!" and more. We will also discuss how to say "please", "thank you" and how to say "no" in English in several ways. When there is more than one learner in each class, we will practice asking questions so the learners can interact with other students in addition to the teacher and puppets.
Learning Goals
Our goal is to have our learners be able to form basic sentences at the end of each class. The sentences they may learn are:
"Hello Teacher John! How are you?"
"I am feeling well today".
"I love to play basketball"
and more.
We may cover themes like space, geography, sea creatures, dinosaurs and more.

Bring markers and crayons to class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
