Class Experience

This is a drop-in class. Students can come as many times as they like and choose a new topic each time to share with the class. The goal of this class is for students to practice conversational skills with other ESL learners by sharing their interests, passions, and talents. This class is an all-immersive American-English class. However, some translations in the student's native language will be provided to help them make a quicker connection to the English terms, phrases, and ideas they wish to express. The teacher will not have a set curriculum to follow but may teach proper pronunciation, grammar, phonics, and other English skills to aid the students. This class is open to students from different countries, so students will be exposed to cultural diversity as well.

Learning Goals

Students will learn how to engage in English conversation by using familiar topics chosen by the student to share with the class. Students will be expected to learn proper online classroom manners as well. Students in this class are expected to show patience and support for their classmates. We will practice by asking questions to build conversational skills. This class is meant to be very interactive.
