Class Experience

This is a beginner ESL conversation class with an ice cream theme. First, learners are taught how to greet friends and give a simple self-introduction. Second, learners are introduced to new vocabulary words and simple phrases that focus on ice cream. Third, learners are given a step-by-step tutorial on how to draw a yummy ice cream cone (more vocabulary for simple shapes will be taught). During class and as learners are happily drawing, I will call on students to practice the new words, phrases and correct pronunciation as needed. Fourth, students have the option to show their drawing and practice giving simple compliments. Finally, students will practice saying goodbye to teacher and classmates. This beginner English immersion class themed on ice cream is fun and interactive with a focus on conversation practice, vocabulary, comprehension, and pronunciation.

This is a low stress class that can be taken over and over again! I will customize my phrases/instruction with each student based on their individual level, so learners will feel comfortable, confident and appropriately challenged.

Look for my other ESL beginner conversation themed classes too! Please message me directly for private 1on1 or private small group tutoring options.

In order to reduce background noise, it is my classroom policy to mute all students when teacher is talking or when it is another learner's turn to speak. Thank you!
