US Grade 1 - 4
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this class, ESL (English as a Second Language) students and emergent readers beginning to read English, will practice reading, speaking and writing Halloween vocabulary. We will also play a Halloween memory game to identify the missing items for more practice. Learners will grab a bag and a costume to go trick-or-treating with their friends. We will practice prepositions, listening and following directions. I have over three years of experience teaching ESL and over 20 years of classroom teaching experience. I will use TPR (Total Physical Response- a method of teaching language or vocabulary concepts by using physical movement to react to verbal input) and adjust my speaking speed and lesson content to the learners' levels. You can look for my ongoing ESL class on Thursdays at 7:20 AM, if you are interested.
Learning Goals
Students will practice reading, speaking and writing Halloween vocabulary year round.
