Class experience
My 1:1 tutoring is all about getting students to fluency as fast as possible with clear and realistic goals that we set together. As you know, in group classes our speaking time is limited. So, we'll counter that by creating a full-immersion experience where the young learner communicates with a native speaker (me), gets all the feedback & expert guidance needed at every stage. I'm a highly experience teacher from New York, currently residing in Lisbon, Portugal (so I know what it's like to have to learn a foreign language!). I graduated with honors from New York University with a degree in Film, and am an internationally TESOL certified English teacher, Cambridge University Speaking examiner and accent coach. I have traveled the world teaching English for well over 20 years and helped students of all ages with their general English, international English exams and accents! I have taught online since 2012 and specialized in young learners since 2014. My mission as a teacher is to put my students, adults or children, in control of their learning by giving them the language skills, learning strategies and other tools needed for success!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
