**If you do not see the time you would like, please request another time. I am usually able to accommodate other days and times** Also, if you would like to take classes with me more than once per week then you can sign up for 2 or more sections. This class provides your learner with private lessons with a certified English teacher. I have been teaching English to students in a classroom setting for over 8 years and have been teaching English online for over 4 years. This is an ongoing class that meets once per week, however, you are welcome to enroll in multiple sessions if you wish to take class more often. I will use my professional experience to guide, prompt, and encourage your learner to speak English. However, this class is very flexible and will allow for your learner’s interests to lead the discussions. We will have a free-talk-style class and focus on conversation skills. I will provide general topics for each class but am happy to incorporate your learner’s interests. Often, a child will speak more freely and confidently if the topic interests them. For this reason, I am always happy to allow the learner to lead the conversation in a new direction and I will use my expertise to guide and extend as needed. This course will improve your learner’s English language skills through listening and speaking with the teacher. Most importantly, participation in this course will help increase your learner’s confidence to speak and have conversations in English. I work hard to ensure I provide all of my students with a positive environment which makes learning challenging but fun! I have taught thousands of ESL classes in person and online. I have taught English to students from all over the world, including China, Peru, Mongolia, South Korea, Malaysia, Brazil, and Japan. Learners and their parents have endorsed me as having excellent pronunciation, error correction, scaffolding, and TPR body language. They have also described my personality as being energetic, encouraging, and positive. I will provide some general topics that I will use to guide our conversations each week. However, these topics are just a guideline and are open to change based on your learner's interests. Our first week together will always be an introduction class. We will ask and answer questions to get to know each other and I will be able to assess your learner’s English level. I hope to meet your learner in my classroom soon!

Hello everyone! My name is Danielle. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Youth Development as well as a Bachelor of Education degree. I am a certified teacher qualified to teach Kindergarten-Grade 6. I also have additional specialized qualifications in Reading and Primary Education and have taken numerous professional development courses focusing on literacy and mathematics. I also have my TESOL certification for teaching English. I consider myself to be a continuous and lifelong learner and am committed to embracing the challenge of professional growth in order to provide your child with the best possible learning experiences.
Over the past 8 years, I have been a classroom teacher and have taught many grades. I currently teach Literacy, Math, and Science to Junior and Senior Kindergarten students. I knew that I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember and it is truly my passion. I strive to create innovative classes that keep my students engaged while learning at the same time. For the past 3 years, I have also been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to students through an online platform. I have taught thousands of ESL classes in person and online. I have taught English to students from all over the world including China, Peru, Mongolia, South Korea, Malaysia, Brazil, and Japan. It can be difficult for young children to learn through a computer screen, however, this experience has strengthened my ability to be an engaging teacher even while teaching virtually. I keep my students engaged by utilizing technology, incorporating movement when possible, making the content relatable, and learning through hands-on experiences.
I am a mother to a 3.5-year-old boy and an almost 1-year-old girl. As a parent, I know how important it is to feel informed when it comes to your child’s education. For this reason, I make open communication with parents and guardians a priority. Please feel comfortable contacting me, through the Outschool platform, if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s learning experience in my classes. I am passionate about embracing my students’ eagerness to learn and to enhance their growth as individuals. I encourage and welcome all learners in my classroom and would love to teach, have fun and learn with your child!
