This one-time lesson introduces the world wonder known as the Taj Mahal. Students will learn the basic answer to who, what, where, when, why, and how regarding the Taj Mahal. To make it a fun learning experience, it is structured as an escape room where students solve riddles, answer questions, put things in order, etc., to understand the Taj Mahal and collect letters to discover a secret quote. This helps the students learn facts about the Taj Mahal interactively. Students will work as a whole class or in small groups depending on the class size. There will be a presentation slide show that students will go through to read the adventure, solve the problems, and record their clues. There will be plenty of discussion between students and the teacher. No prior knowledge of the Taj Mahal is needed. This escape room uses Google Slides, Docs, Sheets, and Forms. In some groups, the activities will be screen shared by the teacher. In others, students may access the activities by making copies of them. No login will be necessary to copy, use, or complete the activities.
