Oh no! Our mosquito repellent is locked in a trunk with a combination lock! We only have a little time to get all the numbers and unlock the repellent before hundreds of mosquitoes swarm us! Explore the four stages of mosquito metamorphosis in an escape room theme. The object is to finish 5 tasks before being swarmed by hundreds of mosquitoes: one task for each stage of the metamorphosis and a final review task. You will learn a few facts about each stage and do activities like find-and-click, a review quiz, choose your own adventure, a guessing game, and two truths and a lie after each stage to reinforce the concepts. Completing each activity will give a number. The final task is a quiz reviewing all four stages a final time before spraying the campsite. The learning happens in a Google Slides presentation full of fun animations, sound effects, and clickable tasks. By the end of the escape room, students will be able to talk about the four stages of mosquito metamorphosis and give a few facts about each one. As a self-paced class, do as little or as much as you'd like! You can finish the escape room in an hour, or do it a little at a time. There are no live meetings with the teacher or other peers. Students do not need any prior knowledge to do this class! Please message us if you get stuck and we would be happy to give you a clue! We will respond in less than 24 hours and sometimes in as little as an hour.
