The old and abandoned mansion on the outskirts of town has always been shrouded in mystery and whispers of the paranormal. It is said that a wealthy family once lived there, but they disappeared without a trace, leaving behind their once glorious mansion to succumb to time. The rumors surrounding the family's disappearance and the strange happenings in the mansion have attracted many thrill seekers and paranormal investigators over the years, but none have ever returned. Now, you and your friends have decided to investigate the mansion for yourselves. As soon as you step inside, the door slams shut behind you and the lights go out. You are now trapped inside the mansion, surrounded by the unknown. To escape, you must solve the puzzles, riddles, and challenges that await you in each room, but beware, the spirits that haunt the mansion do not want to let you leave. Can you escape the haunted mansion and unravel the mystery of the missing family before it's too late? It won't be easy. Do you think you have what it takes? This virtual horror escape room game will be set in a series of rooms in the mansion. each with its own puzzles and challenges based on various themes, detailed in the schedule below. The players must find and solve the challenges in each room, ultimately leading out of the home. Players will have to work together to overcome the obstacles and escape. The class does not build, and learners can join at any time. We will work through all escape rooms together. I will share my screen and players will tell me what to do. Learners will not need to access any third party sources. Week of June The Library- A room filled with books, maps, and other materials that hold the key to unlocking the secrets of the haunted mansion. Players must decipher ancient texts and solve logic puzzles related to literature to escape. Week of June 16 The Alchemist's Laboratory- A room filled with beakers, test tubes, and other scientific equipment that was once used by the family to study the paranormal. Players must solve puzzles related to science, transformation, and the quest for immortality to escape. Week of June 23 The Attic- A dusty, cluttered room filled with old toys, clothing, and other forgotten items from the past. Players must uncover the family's secrets by solving puzzles related to 80s and 90s history and pop culture- you know, all the keepsakes you have sitting in your attic right now that you keep telling yourself you need to get rid of, but just can't bring yourself to do it. Week of June 30 The Crypt- A secret chamber filled with family burial plots housing the deceased. Players must solve logic puzzles and riddles related to ghosts to escape. Week of July 7 The Ghost Ship- A nautical themed room filled with ship's wheels, anchors, and other items. Players must solve puzzles related to the ocean, maritime legends, and ghostly spirits of lost sailors to escape. Week of July 14 The Observatory- A room filled with telescopes, charts, and other astronomical instruments. Players must answer questions related to space, astronomy, and the cosmos to escape. Week of July 21 The Cryptozoology Museum- A room filled with exotic animals, mythical creatures, cryptids, and other strange specimens. Players must solve questions related to the creatures within. Week of July 28 The Haunted Doll Factory- A room filled with creepy dolls and doll parts. Players must solve puzzles related to phobias.

Other Details
Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is always suggested. Some of the rooms may be scary to learners and parents should look into the week's theme prior to class to ensure it is appropriate for their learner. There will be photos and room settings some learners may find frightening and phobias will be mentioned. The overall theme of the class is horror.

I have an Associate of Art in Criminal Justice (CJ) and two years of upper level CJ coursework. I have a Bachelor of Art in Maritime Studies with a focus in anthropology. Anthropology is the objective study of cultures and how societies live(d) and interact(ed). I also have a minor in anthropology focusing on Ancient civilizations (Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome) as well as more recent civilizations including the Mayans, Aztecs, and even North American history up to the war of 1812. I am certified to teach US grades 7-12 English Language Arts and have a Master's degree in Professional Education.
