I am a certified special education/math teacher with over 20 years of experience. I have a passion for helping kids retain and make gains in their skills. The skills that the students learn at a young age set the foundation for the rest of their academic career and are the skills that we use in our every day life. I am committed to helping kids recognize their capability and build on their curiosity to learn.
There is no homework.
The students will need: - paper - pencil - a ruler or straight edge to draw straight lines - print out of papers provided by the teacher before class
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learners progress will be assessed informally based upon the solutions that they get as they "escape" Treasure Island.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
