Welcome to the St. Patrick's Day Escape Room The Story: Lucky the Leprechaun has been caught and trapped and he desperately needs your help. Usually, once a leprechaun has been caught he can be released if he grants three wishes to the person who trapped him. But today, his wish granting powers have run out. If he doesn't escape or grant three wishes by the end of the day they will keep him trapped forever. You accidentally overheard the people who trapped Lucky. One problem, you don't know exactly where they are keeping him. Return back to the library, where you first heard about Lucky and follow the clues to find him. While on your special mission you must make sure you don't get caught. Answering the clues incorrectly or being too loud during your mission may blow you cover. If you are absolutely stuck on a clue ask your special mission director, aka your teacher, for clues. Try not to ask too many questions or waste too much time. The longer it takes, the longer Lucky is trapped. Can you help bring Lucky home? Overview: Students will begin class by introducing themselves and telling the class what one wish they would ask Lucky. After we will go over how the escape room will work and we will start the escape room. We will go through each clue together to keep it organized. Once the students knows the answer, they can share it with me through a private message on zoom. I will let them know if it is correct or incorrect. Once all the students have solved the clue or we have reached the time limit for that clue, I will share the correct answer and we will move on to the next. At the end we will celebrate saving Lucky! I will be there to read the clue and answer questions but I will allow them to solve the clue on their own. Note: This is not a race. If students decide they want to compete during each clue, they are more than welcome but not required.
Learning Goals
