** New to Outschool? Use code MelanieWia2020 to save $20! ** Are you ready to race against time and try to escape before it is too late for you and your friend? This escape room will combine critical thinking puzzles that involve logic, math, and word problems so that all learners can participate to help their team escape. Here is the scenario: You have just received a call that your best friend Sarah has been kidnapped. The caller’s voice was distorted and you have no idea who could have taken her. This was the message “I have your friend Sarah. If you ever want to see her alive again you will leave a briefcase of $5 million dollars at the old Spreckels’ mansion. You have exactly forty-five minutes before the whole mansion will burst into flames with Sarah inside it. If you call the police things are going to end very badly for all of you, but if you do as you're told we will release Sarah from the mansion." You do not have that kind of money, so, you better hurry up and see if you can find Sarah before the deadline. Students will work together with their classmates to escape the mansion and find Sarah before it is too late! Class Structure: - 5 minutes for introductions and explanation of how the escape room works - 45 minutes to escape - 5 minutes to conclude (bonus trivia if students escape early!)
Learning Goals
Students will use their critical thinking and teamwork skills to escape.
