Learners will practice social skills by exchanging their escape room experiences and by asking/answering questions from their peers. We will discuss what types of puzzles we like (and don't like), favorite themes, and fun things that we have learned while playing these types of games. Peers will be excited to share this common interest with each other while also learning more about escape rooms! During the class we will explore the history of the immersive entertainment industry and where...
Enthusists will feel a sense of community while discussing their passion and experinces for escape rooms. They will learn more about the escape room industry and polish social skills by talking about these puzzle rooms.
Students are encouraged to play an escape room game before class so they feel more connected to their peers in the group. There are escape games on Outschool that are fun and educational! I suggest playing one before the class if they student is new to the concept.
Students will be encouraged to play at least one escape game before the class if they have never played before. This can be in any format so they have something to talk about during the class. Some examples are: Outschool escape room classes, escape room board games, online escape rooms or escape room apps, live escape rooms, or virtual reality escape rooms.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
