The learners will have the links to continue the game if they don't finish in time.Class Experience
Does your learner like video games? Are they a fan of Kingdom Hearts? If so, then we have something in common. We'll be needing at least 3 Keyblade Masters to help escape this room! In this one-time course, learners will use problem solving and critical thinking in order to escape the room before the class time ends. The theme of this class will be Kingdom Hearts. No prior knowledge of the game is necessary to play. In the first five minutes, I will explain the rules. The students will then collaborate with finding where the clues are in the game. After all the clue links have been found, the links will be shared in chat. The students will have a choice of whether or not to work together or in teams. The breakout rooms will be used if the students choose not to work altogether. The students will click on the links to solve all the puzzles and enter the answers individually until they can escape the room. They may go back and forth between links in order to escape. The students may need assistance clicking links in the chat and managing multiple tabs on their browser. The game continues until the class has escaped the room or time runs out, whichever comes first. If everyone escapes with plenty of time to spare, we will discuss how the puzzles went and share some of our favorite video games to play.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I'm a big Kingdom Hearts fan and has played all the games released so far. No Kingdom Heart knowledge is needed for this course however, as it is just a theme of the escape room.
I do have 10 years of experience teaching math and problem solving to students. I've also done gamification and game-based learning classes like Jeopardy and Bingo with math topics to keep the course interesting. I have worked with students in the age group 8 to 13 years old in a one-on-one and small group settings for math classes and tutoring both in-person and virtually.
