Class Experience

Our students are leaving a bunker after an apocalyptical event, but no one remembers how to open the door! Using critical thinking and an eye for details, students must explore the multiple rooms of the bunker and find the clues to get everyone out.

Students will work individually or in small groups, depending on class size, to find the answers to the "locks". Student will need to use critical thinking to dismiss misleading information and find the correct answers. If anyone becomes stuck they will be given extra clues and guidance towards the correct answer.

When students escape, if time allows, extra activities will be provided for a fun, after escape, time!

Learning Goals

Students will improve their critical thinking skill by sorting through data and finding the answers to the "locks". Students will also work their short term memory by holding and relaying information from sources into the Escape Room form.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, my name is Tamra and I have been in the education field since 2004. I have taught everything from preschool/4k through middle school and, while I received my degree to teach in a classic school setting I have also spent many years working with Montessori schools. Beyond teaching in the classroom, I worked for several years as a Cognitive Skills Trainer with LearingRX to help students build base skills so learning and life would be easier.

My classes focus on base skills, such as logic and memory; creative skills, such as story development and artistic abilities; technology skills, such as basic coding; homework help classes; and story times and read alouds for students of all ages.

Throughout every school and every grade that I taught, the thing I loved most was seeing those "Aha!" moments in kids eyes and I am so excited to be able to continue working seeing those moments with your kiddos through Outschool classes.
