Trapped! With only one way out! Are you up to the challenge? In this class you will find yourself trapped on Math Mystery Mountain with only one passage that leads to freedom. You must travel through a series of locked underground tunnels, solving math puzzles along the way, in order to identify passcodes and find keys that will unlock each door so that you can make your way to safety. But you and your team must work fast! The water is rising quickly, and you must escape before time runs out! Come join our team as we have a little fun with numbers and escape Math Mystery Mountain.
Learning Goals
This class is designed for advanced math students who enjoy a challenge, and love the intrigue of escape rooms. The focus in this class will be less on specific math skills and more on developing strong number sense and deep mathematical thinking. In order to be successful in this class, students should already be fluent with math facts 0 -12 in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
