This is an equine science course for those students who have taken my Introduction to Equine Science course or those who have previous horse experience.
This is a self-paced course which means that there are no live meetings.

Learners are encouraged to ask questions and share about any experiences that have with mares and foals in the online classroom! Who doesn't like hearing about baby horses and ponies?

This course will not provide medical advice. It is always recommended that you contact your veterinarian for any questions or problems with your horse.

I am a certified veterinary technician and have bred, raised, trained and shown horses for many years. I have a MEd from Colorado State University and a Master of Veterinary Education (MVEd) from Lincoln Memorial University’s School of Veterinary Medicine.

I have been teaching at local community colleges in veterinary Assistant Programs and a variety of Veterinary Science programs for grades 3-5, 6-8, and high school. I also teach at a private university in an equine studies program.

Along with that, I am also a homeschool mom! At home, my family has 2 mini horses, 4 Nigerian dwarf goats, 6 chickens and 4 cats!

I am absolutely passionate about sharing my experience and love for animals and Equine and veterinary sciences with others and look forward to helping your learner explore the possibilities!

It is exciting to share my love for horses with the next generation of equestrians!
