In this four week, multi day course, learners will dive deep into all things equine nutrition. Learners will have the opportunity to streamline their own horses dietary needs, as well as evaluate what horses truly need, versus feeds and supplements that are marketed as a necessity, but not required. Learners will be able to assess horses needs, ranging from specific horse factors to feeding management programs and everything in between. If learners have their own horses, they will be able to implement their new feeding management programs and evaluate the outcome and the goals.

Learners will have the opportunity to focus on their specific disciplines, as all disciplines require slightly different feed regimens, not to mention understanding the different qualities of hays and feeds and so much more!

Each week we will focus a little bit more on deeping our knowledge of equine nutrition.

week one - we will evaluate horse needs
week two - we will dive into the horse factors (age, discipline, diseases, unsoundness, etc.)
week three - we will jump into feeds and feeding and understanding dietary factors
week four - feeding management plan and implementation

Learners will be evaluated on their learned knowledge with the final project of the feeding management plan. Not only will this be a beneficial course to any horse enthusiast, but it will also allow a learner to develop a high quality feeding plan to not only best suit the horse, but the owners as well.
