I'm very passionate about horses and love to share my knowledge gained from over 16 years of horse ownership and care with fellow horse lovers! In this class, students will dive into the world of equine health by taking a closer look at routine care, what constitutes as a disease, how diseases are contracted, prevention, and what is done to manage and care for infected horses. Slides will be shown to illustrate each disease broken down by their pathologies. We will learn the vaccine protocol for different horses and how lifestyle determines this. At the end of class, we will identity signs of a healthy horse. This is an introductory course for students with little to no knowledge about equine health and diseases.

Parental Guidance
Scientific terminology will be used to describe each disease and how they affect equine health. This class is not teaching medical advice and students are not qualified or encouraged to perform first aid on animals upon completion.
