Description
Class Experience
Students will strengthen their understanding of genetic terms. They will learn to evaluate bloodlines and potential abilities and challenges. They will also learn to consider the limitations of using gentetice as a factor and think about the other areas involved in a horses "success" or "usefulness" as determined by the horse industry.
With thirty four years in the horse industry, I take horse education very seriously. My equine experience includes a degree in Animal Science/Horse Production and I have taught riding to hundreds of students. I have coached collegiate teams, coached individual riders in state and national events and been an active coach of horse judging, hippology, horse bowl and horse presentation teams and contestants. My students have preformed well and won or been competitive at the state and national level.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
- Nearpod
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
