I will read a short, engaging Unofficial Minecraft book for early learners. We will discuss all things Minecraft related to the story including mining, crafting, mobs, and helping others. The EPIC sword art activity is completely optional.

Class Experience
I will be reading an Unofficial Minecraft book during this highly interactive read aloud complete with engaging discussion and plenty of Minecraft tips and tricks! Your learner does not need to be able to read in order to take this class. A love for Minecraft is all that is needed. 🙂 Please bring your Minecraft knowledge and questions and of you wish, any coloring/art/craft supplies and the one page document (optional) to class. I look forward to meeting you soon so we can stop the mobs...
Students will learn some simple and useful crafting recipes related to the story. Students will discuss ways they are helpful in their own lives. Students will develop an EPIC sword idea using the page I created (printing optional) or their own paper for illustration if desired.
I am a highly experienced and actively certified School Library Media Specialist (PreK-12th grade), certified English Language Arts teacher, homeschool educator, and a Minecraft fan.
1 file available upon enrollmentLearners have the optional opportunity to describe verbally or create a 2D or 3D representation of their EPIC sword idea using whatever art/crafting/building items they choose. I created an optional document attached in classroom welcome message for printing if desired.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Minecraft sword crafting recipes and defeating Minecraft mobs (monsters) with the swords are mentioned. This is the Minecraft cartoon/fantasy, mild violence without blood or gore, that learners familiar with Minecraft mob battles will be very familiar with. Learners will create their own EPIC sword art and discuss their creations.
