Description

Class Experience

Students in this class avoid the 'summer slide' by maintaining a regular reading practice.  I introduce students to 'Epic Reading', a free app with a wide range of fiction and non-fiction e-books'.  Students may choose books that match their interests and reading level from the app or pick books from their local library or bookseller.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Epic Reading

50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Students will read digital books from the Epic app.  Parents will need to set up an account for their family.  The basic version allows kids to read one book per day.  A paid upgrade is also available, but not necessary for this class.
