Epic Animal Battle! Who Would Win? Grizzly Bear Vs. Siberian Tiger

In this one time class, students will learn about Grizzly Bears and Siberian Tigers and predict who would win in a fight!

Class Experience

During this one time class, students will learn about epic animals and engage in conversation about who they think would win in a fight!  All students will be encouraged to share their thoughts and opinions during class, but it is voluntary. At the beginning of class, the students will vote on what animal they think would win the battle and give reasons for their choice. Next, the students will learn some fun facts about each animal that will be participating in the battle. They will watch video clips, look at pictures, and examine diagrams of each animal. As a class, we will create a comparison chart for the animals. The students will have a chance to debate and discuss why they think a particular animal will win.  Finally, the students will learn who won the battle! We will end the class with some discussion questions and time for the students to share their thoughts and opinions about the fight. ** I will not show any gory or overly violent videos during this class. Most vidoe clips are pulled from Animal Planet, National Geographic, and Planet Earth. All video clips come from shows that have a PG or lower rating**

Parental Guidance

** I will not show any gory or overly violent videos during this class. Most vidoe clips are pulled from Animal Planet, National Geographic, and Planet Earth. All video clips come from shows that have a PG or lower rating** However, we are talking about a hypothetical animal battle so this may be upsetting for some students. I have based these classes around the popular children's books - "Who Would Win?" by Jerry Pallotta which are written for 1st - 3rd graders.

Hello Parents! Welcome to my Outschool classroom! I have taught online for over 4.5 years so I am very comfortable with virtual teaching. I have taught over 2,000 online classes. I have a Bachelor of Science in Communication, a Kindergarten - 6th grade teaching certificate, a TESOL certificate, and I am currently working on my Masters in Elementary Education. I have worked with children of many ages from preschool to 8th grade. I taught at a private Preschool where I had a class of 20 students. I worked at Boys and Girls Club of America where I tutored elementary and middle school students. I currently volunteer at an elementary school in my city and tutor students after school. 

I am married and have two adorable rabbits. I have been a dancer my entire life and have choreographed and taught dance classes for children and adults. My husband and I love to travel. I studied abroad in Spain in college and have had the travel bug ever since. After my husband and I got married, we wanted to live abroad so we began our 3 year digital nomad journey and started in Thailand. I taught online while we traveled all over the world to countries like Portugal, Chile, Vietnam, Tanzania, Indonesia, Peru, Spain, just to name a few. I cannot wait to share my knowledge and experiences with your child! I will offer many classes for you to choose from such as world culture classes, dance classes, math classes, reading classes, and much more. I love to make learning fun! I believe all children have the ability to learn and excel in any subject with the right guidance and support.
