Description
Class Experience
I have over 20 years of experience providing informal education programs for high school students and college students. I have also taught college-level seminar courses and professional development for educators, including a Teachers in Alaska Program, Ecotourism in Costa Rica, and cultural exploration in China. Areas of specialization: marine education, marine biology, scientific research, scientific writing, photojournalism, environmental journalism, science and nature photography, scientific journaling, and conservation. I have a B.S. in Marine Biology and a Doctor of Education degree (dissertation focus on informal science), both from Texas A&M University.
Teacher will provide activity sheets. Students will need camera for still photos and videos (phones are fine). Notebook/journal
