I have a master's degree in biological oceanography in a multidisciplinary program centered around marine, earth, and atmospheric processes and their interconnection. I also have a bachelor's degree in environmental studies. I also completed a semester-long project in weather forecasting with a local news station. I have also spent the past ten years teaching and designing courses in environmental science to students of all ages in a variety of different settings. These settings range from outdoor education programs, museums, and formal classrooms. I have also experienced multiple hurricanes and their effects growing up along the eastern shore of the United States.
