Description
Class Experience
This course will be as innovative as the course content itself. It will be interactive - both with me and with those in the class - and engaging throughout. We'll cover topics each week that will build off of each preceding week. By week 4 students will develop their own business concept and by the end of the course, in groups, they will "pitch" their business to each other using the skills they learned. Week 1: Introduction to Entrepreneurship - Understanding entrepreneurship and its...
By the end of this course, students will be able to: - Understand the core concepts of entrepreneurship. - Explore various forms of innovation and their role in business. - Identify and evaluate business opportunities. - Develop a business idea from concept to plan. - Learn about real-world entrepreneurial success stories. - Cultivate critical thinking and problem-solving skills. - Collaborate and pitch their business ideas.
As a former startup founder and former national vice president for an Entrepreneurship Fellowship, I bring both practical and real-world expertise to the class and look forward to using personal experiences to shed light on entrepreneurship and innovation!
There will be a cohort-long "pitch" project that may require time outside the course itself to prep. Online articles, videos, and case studies will be used as a guide.
All case studies/articles will be provided and accessible via the internet.
Students will work throughout the two months to develop a "pitch" for a business at the end of the course.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
