US Grade 5 - 8
Beginner Level
The class will run for 5 weeks (meeting 2x per week), following the course schedule below. Each class is 1 hour long. The students only need to bring themselves, a desire to learn about the business world, and a mindset that is ready to discuss, explore, and debate ideas. We use the case method approach, meaning that each class students will receive case write ups of a business scenarios and we will discuss and work through them live in class. This is not a lecture format. Students will be asked to participate, think on the fly, and communicate their view points. We use these cases to simulate real life scenarios when starting a business so the students can think through solutions and apply their learnings to their own business idea. We strive to make these classes as engaging as they are educational, so we incorporate activities, games, and role playing. Students do NOT require any prior knowledge or experience of business. This course will teach them foundational business concepts, while also teaching them to think like a CEO/entrepreneur. All course material will be provided, so nothing additional is required from you.
