This class is an inquiry based class where students will learn how to start inquiries that can lead to Genius Hour Project Based Learning. Children attend with a discovery box items of interest which showcase what they are passionate about. Each student will share one thing from the box, or more if there is time permitting. Students will explore the level of inquiry they are proficient at and will be scaffolded to the next level of inquiry.
I run a forest kindergarten and natural learning program using Inquiry and Project Based Learning. I have worked with families in the education field for more than 20 years in child centered learning. I am currently completing my Masters of Education in Sustainability, Creativity and Innovation which focuses on innovative learning approaches such as online and in person inquiry and project based learning.

Parents will receive a short paragraph on their child’s inquiry topic, the stage of inquiry they are on and suggested ways to facilitate their inquiry to the next step.Grades Offered
Learner are expected to bring 1-3 items for show and tell to use as the basis of an inquiry. If they are interested in a topic they can bring a picture or item that represents that topic (example a play sword to represent interest in medieval period of history).
