Description
Class Experience
Students will plan and implement a project to complete an eco challenge while at the same time learning about the are of their challenge.
I run a forest kindergarten and natural learning program using inquiry and project based learning. I have worked with families in the education field for more than 20 years. I have done project based learning, child directed learning and child centered learning. I have my Masters of Education in Sustainability, Creativity and Innovation which focuses on self directed learning in innovative areas such as online learning specializing in Ecological Systems Thinking.
Students will collaborate with the teacher to complete learning goals outside the classroom to work towards completing their eco-challenge.
Students will collaborate with the teacher for outside resources and websites to be used.
Students will collaborate with the teacher to set goals and decide upon the outcome and what if any self assessment will be completed for the project.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
