Hello, Parents! Are you looking for a kind and engaging teacher to help your child? Whether they are struggling or excelling at English, I can help them improve their skills! We will use their own interests to help them learn any English skill, from the alphabet to the art of the paragraph! Classes are all different, so feel free to join at any time! Classes will be learner-directed or dictated weekly due to current events/happenings, but no other materials are necessary to attend class. Session topics will be learner-directed or dictated weekly due to current events/happenings. *** Ongoing classes for private tutoring are available upon request. I will get to know the learner(s) on a deeper level, and include feedback after classes while using a reward system in class. *** In this ongoing class, your child(ren) will learn how to speak with other students who are also learning English. They will greet and ask about one another. Major English topics will be covered, including: Alphabet and Counting Months of the Year and Days of the Week Colors and Shapes Verbs and Parts of Speech Pronunciation Seasons and Weather Animals Foods Opposites Holidays Places Clothing and more! Don't forget the games! Regardless of your child’s primary language, we can learn English in fun and interesting ways! I have rhymes, props, strategies and more to make learning exciting! I have been instructing English for over a decade, and teaching ESL 1-on-1 and 4-on-1 Zoom classes for the past four years. My name is Teacher Allie. I am a TESOL certified English as a Second Language Teacher. I also have an honors double-major BA in History and English Language and Literature. I live in Alberta, Canada! I use TPR (Total Physical Response) while teaching, which means I attempt to show the learner what I am speaking about by using hand gestures or body motions. I use as many visuals, videos and props as I can think of in order to help your child understand! I want your learner to get the most out of class, so I will do everything I can do encourage participation! In this class, we will introduce ourselves to fellow learners! We will learn how to say hello, ask about feelings and interests, and focus on alphabet and pronunciation, counting, colors, parts of speech, weather, months of the year, animals, and more! Each class will have its own participants, and its own topics! Individual or private tutoring is also available (please see my Teacher Profile)! I would LOVE to see your child in class!
