English Vocabulary Fun! Strengthen English Vocabulary and Reading Skills through Conversation and Interactive Games
Each week, students will master 5 advanced English vocabulary words commonly found on the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) using Mrs. Ellis' personalized "Echo-Jot-Question" method, followed by a Kahoot game to build solid comprehension of each word. We will work to improve spelling, grammar, and reading comprehension through fun and engaging academic games. *Perfect for gifted readers or English language learners (ESL)(ESOL)(ELL)*

Students will improve their English speaking skills, reading comprehension, and test taking skills by mastering advanced-level academic vocabulary terms. Students will become confident in their ability to read and understand grade-level words though interactive games.

The Kahoot application is a free app that can be downloaded to any device. You can also access the program by utilizing the Kahoot website for free. You do not need to make an account before class. I will provide students with the game code prior to the game starting. A google slides presentation will be shared via the screen-share option on zoom and will not require a username of any kind.
