Description

Class Experience

This session is 8 weeks rather than 4, covering twice the material as my "English Vocabulary Building".

This is an extensive approach to rapid vocabulary building. In each class, students are introduced to new vocabulary words that are in compliance with the National Reading Vocabulary List for their specific age and grade level. They will then complete the related assignments for the words on the list. A review is given each week to quiz the students on the vocabulary they were given from...

Improving and increasing vocabulary through extensive individual instruction.

Worksheets will be given each class meeting. Students will also be given study guides and instruction on the best ways to study vocabulary between classes.

This class requires a commitment of 2-4 hours per week of "Outside of Class" studying.

  1 file available upon enrollment
Printable worksheets will be provided for in-class work and homework. Students will be asked to bring lined notebook paper, pens, pencils, erasers and new, blank index cards to every class meeting.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Students will be given a short, oral quiz each class to evaluate the vocabulary assigned from the previous week. They will also receive a Progress Report within 3 hours of the final session to inform parents of their student's progress as well as the effectiveness of the class.

45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
