This class will focus on beginning English language skills, including listening, speaking and reading. The goal of this class is for students to learn how to introduce themselves, listen to words and sentences and respond appropriately. Students will practice reading simple words, sentences and short phrases. Scholars may practice using adjectives, adverbs, pronouns and other parts of speech to create complete sentences. This is a private individualized class that will be adapted to the needs and skill level of your child.

I am a certified special education teacher who has 20 years of experience adapting lessons to meet the individualized needs of scholars. I have been teaching English as a second language to children and adults in the United States for the past ten years. I also have been teaching English to children in China for the past three years. I believe people learn through practice and remember because it was fun. Therefore, students will have plenty of opportunities to practice their skills in a comfortable, fun setting. My hope is that each scholar will feel confident and successful while learning.
