Description
Class Experience
Students will improve their understanding of simple and compound sentences in order to enhance variety in their writing skills.
As a 30-year English language arts teacher, I have seen the need for young students to show more variety in their writing. Not only should their sentence types vary, but they should also be accurate in structure. I am able to break these concepts down so that students understand with clarity and ease.
Students should have paper and a pencil for class.
The teacher will use ongoing formative assessment throughout the lesson.
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
