Hello, my name is Mrs. Kaye, and I am delighted to meet you. I am an experienced primary school teacher who started my career in London, where I taught for many years. I then went on to teach in North Africa and the Middle East for over a decade, which was an incredibly enriching experience. During my teaching career, I have taken my classes on some amazing school trips, from the Tower of London to the Pyramids of Giza!

I am a UK SATs specialist with many years of successful teaching experience in Year 6 and Year 2 SATs. I have also worked with borough initiatives to help children achieve their full potential and prepare for future academic success. I am passionate about teaching and helping students develop confidence in maths, English, and science. My goal is to make all areas of the curriculum accessible and enjoyable for children, regardless of their level or language background.

After each lesson, I will provide feedback on your child's participation, so you can see their progress and achievements. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions or concerns. In my spare time, I enjoy digital illustration and creating educational resources and stickers for companies. I currently live in the United States and am excited to meet you and your child."
Homework Offered
Assessments Offered
I will assess continually in a variety of ways this could be: Observational assessment: I observe your learner's participation, engagement, and understanding during the lesson as I would in school. I provide notes at the end of the lesson to let you know how your learner got on in the lesson. Written assignments: There is the option to complete short burst written assignments that demonstrate your learner's understanding of the material. These could include essays, short answer questions, or creative writing exercises. Verbal assessments: I also will engage in one-on-one discussions with the learner to assess their understanding of the material. This could include asking questions, seeking clarification, and gauging the learner's ability to articulate their thoughts and ideas. Quizzes and tests: There are times when I will administer quizzes or tests to assess the learner's retention of the material. These could be in the form of multiple choice, true/false, or short answer questions. Performance-based assessments: when it is appropriate, I will assess the learner's skills and abilities through performance-based assessments. For example, the learner could be asked to read aloud or give a presentation, and the teacher could evaluate their ability to speak clearly, use appropriate vocabulary and grammar, and engage with the audience. This is all very informal and more to help my planning and to keep you up to date with achievements and next goals.
