Description
Class Experience
Personalized English Instruction from a native English speaker who loves teaching English to those seeking confidence in their ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English. Grammar, meaning speaking using proper complete sentences, pronunciation, practicing reading stories and then answering questions to be sure it is understood, writing, games, conversation, playing games, watching a video or doing worksheets and learning English through these endeavors. Finding the student's particular interests and using them to teach English, for example if they love math or chess or history, I will use that knowledge to find unique ways to teach English through these subjects. Message Amy to schedule a one time, weekly, or twice a week private lesson.
ESL and EFT-certified, native English speaker, TESOL certificate, in-class experience 20 years, online experience 6 years. Taught in public schools, private schools, private studios, and online.
If the parent would like, I can provide homework based on the classwork of the day.
Nothing is needed but if the student would like to print material from time to time, I will provide that.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Written messages sometimes with child's completed written work and other times informal assessment after class.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
I sometimes create Kahoot (an approved outside platform) quizzes to help the student learn in a fun way. There is no need for the parent to have an account, nor does the student ever log in without me.
