Description
Class Experience
In this Reading Readiness English tutoring session students will learn alphabet recognition, phonics, and writing. This is a Private One on One ongoing tutoring session. Classes will be conducted as interactive sessions using slide presentations and possibly videos. Students will be encouraged to interact with the teacher responding to illustrations and corresponding letters and sounds. Writing practice is encouraged and printable homework sheets will be provided. Each week two new letters...
This class is taught in English.
Learners will be able to recognize each of the 26 alphabet letters, their sounds, and become familiar with writing each letter.
Not Applicable.
Printable will be provided each week and learners are encouraged to complete the weekly assignments in order to increase their reading and writing skills. Coloring illustrations that correspond to the beginning letter of the picture helps children make the connection of the letters and sounds. Also writing sheets are provided to practice writing each letter.
Students will need pencils and paper.

Progress is assessed by accumulated learning skills acquired throughout the duration of the class, participation during class, understanding of review discussions, and completion of homework assignments after class.

Curriculum is currently created by Karrie Knowles with Google Slides and Canva. Youtube Kids Videos may be used.
