English Not Scary: Weekly Y2 Club (British Y2)

This is a Y2 English club to act as an aid for those studying the Year 2 British Syllabus. Lessons will not build upon any previous lesson and learners can feel free to subscribe/ unsubscribe from the lessons at any time. Club weekly schedule will be updated every 4 weeks.

In the next 4 weeks (28/11/2023-19/12/2023), we will:
⇢ Week of (28/11/2023): identify singular and plural nouns; use '-s' and '-es' to spell plural nouns; learn some irregular plural nouns.
⇢ Week of (05/12/2023): read and watch 'The Emperor's New Clothes' and complete comprehension activities;
⇢ Week of (12/12/2023): recognise and practise the voiced consonant, /b/, and unvoiced consonant, /p/, and learn words containing them;
⇢ Week of (19/12/2023): read and watch 'Otto Runs For President' and complete comprehension activities;

Please ensure your child brings a webcam, paper and working pen to all lessons.

Please note that some classroom activities may require use of the Zoom 'annotation' and 'chat' features. For the best classroom experience, please ensure that your child knows how to use these features. 

The classroom can be a busy place. While I'll make every effort to ensure that your child feels included, it is important that your child can raise their hand when they feel that they need help. Before joining the class, please ensure that your child knows to use Zoom 'raise hand' and 'lower hand' features.
